El Paso County sheriff's deputies arrested a 40-year-old man Sunday after he allegedly head butted a deputy responding to an assault report.
Deputies said that while they were investigating an assault call in the Lower Valley, they attempted to escort Gustavo Soltero to a patrol unit after Soltero allegedly became uncooperative. As the deputies were walking Soltero to the patrol car, Soltero allegedly headbutted a deputy with the back of his head.
Soltero was arrested on suspicion of failure to identify, assault on a public servant and resisting arrest, search or transport. He was booked into the El Paso County Jail on bonds totaling $3,750.
