Kansas Man Bites Officer After Being Subdued

Police used their Tasers to subdue a man in Wichita after he refused to drop his knife early Sunday morning. He then bit an officer on the hand while he was being arrested.

Nov. 04--Police used their Tasers to subdue a man at The Place bar, 4859 E. Harry, near Harry and Oliver, after he refused to drop his knife early Sunday morning.

At about 1:25 a.m., police were called to the bar, where they found a 35-year-old man with a knife. Officers ordered him drop the knife, but he refused, said Wichita police Sgt. Scott Brunow.

He was arrested, as were a 42-year-old man who tried to help him and a 34-year-old woman who tried to incite other bar patrons to join in.
