A Baltimore City (Md.) officer hurt in a cruiser crash in February died Wednesday from complications of surgery to treat the original severe injuries.
According to a news release issued by the Baltimore County Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #4, Baltimore City Police Officer Forrest “Dino” Taylor was driving a marked cruiser on Feb. 18 when an SUV drove through a red light hitting Taylor’s cruiser causing severe injuries to Taylor.
Since the wreck, Taylor had been receiving various medical treatments and attention, the latest being an operation on Aug. 28 which caused complications from which he could not recover.
Baltimore City Police Department has declared his death attributed to the February wreck and, therefore has classified it as a Line of Duty Death.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday Sept. 4 from 1 to 9 p.m. in the Singleton Funeral Home, Glen Burnie, Md.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 7 at 10 a.m. in The Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, Baltimore Md.
Internment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Annapolis, Md.
A Memorial Fund has been established by the Singleton Funeral Home, to benefit Taylor’s wife Ambre Taylor and their two children.
