PLEASANTON -- An Alameda County Sheriff's deputy and a San Ramon attorney charged with accessing and sharing confidential information made their first court appearances Tuesday.
Deputy Ryan Silcocks appeared briefly in Judge Hugh Walker's Alameda County Superior courtroom, where his attorney asked for the case to be continued until July 17.
Lesley Regina, a family law attorney, did not appear in court, but her lawyer, John Noonan, entered a not guilty plea on her behalf. She is due back in court on Aug. 28.
Silcocks, who is on administrative leave, is accused of three misdemeanor counts for allegedly twice entering an Alameda County building after hours to access information from a county law enforcement database. According to court records, he is believed to have passed the information to Regina, with whom he had a dating relationship.
Regina is charged with one misdemeanor count of knowingly receiving records she was not authorized to possess.
A Pleasanton man, Brian Lancaster, said the information was used against him in a child custody case with his ex-wife, Lisa Secord, who now lives in Washington, according court records.
