June 27--A kidnap victim bound with tape was rescued by police officers who pulled over a speeding car late Tuesday night in southeast Fresno.

Sgt. Steve Crawford said the male victim, who was in the back of an SUV, was seen by officers Marcus Gray Jr. and Ron Manning after the pair pulled over the vehicle in what started as a routine traffic stop at Kings Canyon Road and Dewitt Avenue.

The man was bleeding from numerous minor injuries and pleading for help.

Two other men in the SUV, Daniel Carillo and Ulysses Carrillo, both 24, were arrested on kidnapping charges.

Police also served a warrant at a related address in southeast Fresno and seized three handguns, one of which was stolen, and a rifle, Crawford said.
