June 26--A man accused of poking a Lower Allen Township police officer with a needle during his arrest was found not guilty of two of the charges against him.
Michael Merza, 33, of Harrisburg faced charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and possession of drug paraphernalia after the Nov. 30, 2011, incident.
Merza was found not guilty Tuesday of the aggravated and simple assault charges, while being found guilty of the recklessly endangering and possession charges on Tuesday after a short deliberation by the jury.
