Pittsburgh Officer Injured Responding Burglary Alarm

While answering a burglary alarm call, a Pittsburgh officer was injured when the stairs he was on collapsed under him. His injuries were not though to be serious.

May 03--A Pittsburgh police officer was injured while responding to a burglary alarm at a car wash in Lawrenceville Wednesday night.

An emergency dispatch supervisor confirmed that the officer, from the Zone 5 station, was injured when stairs gave way underneath him at an Auto Bathouse Car Wash at 5770 Butler St. around 10:50 p.m.

The extent of his injuries were not released, although they were not serious. He was treated at UPMC Mercy.
