Conn. Police Find Squatters, Weed, Police Gear

Police investigating burglary complaint at a Fawn Run Road home Wednesday found three men squatting in a vacant home with a marijuana growing operation and police equipment.

April 13--GLASTONBURY -- Police investigating burglary complaint at a Fawn Run Road home Wednesday found three men squatting in a vacant home with a marijuana growing operation and police equipment.

Police seized marijuana plants, growing equipment, scales, $300 in cash, a laptop computer, two vehicles and other drug paraphernalia, as well as police badges, uniforms, radios, belts, ticket books, gun magazines, night sticks and body armor.

Charges were Julio Hernandez, 44; Justin Hernandez, 23; and Johnathon Hernandez, 24. All were charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, operating a drug factory, impersonating a police officer and theft of service. They were each held on $100,000 bail.
