March 23--A police chase ended Thursday in Sutter County after a motorcycle rider was bitten by a Sutter County police dog and arrested.

Deputies tried to stop the motorcycle for a traffic violation around 3 p.m. near Highway 113 and Varney Road in southwest Sutter County, near Robbins. The rider, identified as Keith Brolliar, sped away from the deputies, Sgt. Dan Buttler said.

A 10-minute chase through county roads ended when Brolliar ditched his bike on Pelger Road, west of Highway 113 and ran into a rice field. The police dog found and bit Brolliar once on the back of his arm, Buttler said.

Brolliar, 41, was booked into the Sutter County Jail on suspicion of evading police, a felony, and possession of a controlled substance, paraphernalia and riding an unregistered motorcycle. Brolliar was also driving without a license and was wanted in Glenn County on two drug warrants, Buttler said.
