March 19--BRIDGEPORT -- A city man was arrested after police said he drove through a stop sign and was struck by a police cruiser early Sunday morning.

Jose Ocotl, 26, of Lee Street, wasn't charged in the collision, but was charged with interfering with police after they discovered he gave them a fake name and was driving without a license. The crash happened at the corner of Fairfield Avenue and Mountain Grove Street.

Ocotl was treated for minor injuries at St. Vincent's Medical Center and released. He was then arrested and was set to be arraigned Monday. He was held on $5,000 bond.
