March 03--MOORE -- Police said Friday they have arrested a teenager after a loaded gun was found in his school locker.
Dillon Ashby, 15, was arrested about noon on complaints of possession of a firearm on school grounds and possession of stolen property, Moore police Sgt. Jeremy Lewis said.
Ashby was taken to the Pottawatomie County juvenile detention center.
Lewis said detectives investigating a string of automobile burglaries traced a gun stolen from a car to the teen. The gun was found in Ashby's locker at Central Junior High.
Ashby is a suspect in the burglaries, Lewis said. The case also involves several four-wheelers stolen from homes in the Moore area.
"Everyone involved in this is very young," Lewis said.
