Two Pleasantville residents and an Absecon man were arrested Thursday after an off-duty Atlantic City police detective witnessed a possible drug sale.

Sgt. Rodney Ruark was on his way home when he witnessed a sale in Absecon and followed one of the men involved, who was on a bike, police said.

Eugene Link, 41, of Absecon, was arrested.

The other suspects were stopped in their car by Pleasantville police a short time later.

Hakeem Vaughn, 35, and Olympia Williams, 27, were arrested and taken to the Absecon Police Department.

Link was found with about $2,500 worth of cocaine and 75 pills of ecstasy, valued at $25 each, police said. About $4,500 in cash was also seized. He was charged with possession and released on a summons.

Vaughn and Williams each was charged with two counts of possession, distribution, selling and conspiracy.

They were lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $100,000 cash bail.
