Feb. 04--ARLINGTON -- A wreck involving three tractor-trailers shut down northbound Texas 360 on Friday afternoon and caused major delays for southbound motorists as well.

One person was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after two trucks carrying heavy equipment hit the bottom of the Division Street railroad bridge.

A third truck crashed into the rear of one of the trailers, and at least one car was involved, officials said.

The trucks' cargo spilled into the road, including some of the southbound lanes of Texas 360.

No one was seriously injured, police spokeswoman Tiara Richard said.

Northbound traffic was diverted onto Pioneer Parkway for about an hour, then allowed to proceed on the 360 access road. Traffic delays continued into the night.

Southbound traffic was also stacked up, as only one lane was open. Heavy-duty wreckers were called in to remove the wreckage.

Crews with the Texas Transportation Department were helping with the cleanup, including spilled diesel and hydraulic fluid, spokesman Val Lopez said.

They were also patching damaged areas of the roadway.

"Removing the debris is just the first step," he said.

Union Pacific found no damage to the bridge, spokeswoman Raquel Espinoza-Williams said.

Trains were then allowed to resume crossing.
