Jan. 11--NORMAN -- Police in Norman found $225,000 in a hidden compartment Thursday after a police K-9 alerted to the suspect's vehicle.

Police Lt. Kyle Harris said the vehicle was headed south in Interstate 35 when it was stopped by Detective Daren Morgan on a traffic violation. Morgan became suspicious of the driver, and his K-9 partner, Lux, alerted to the vehicle.

Morgan and Detective Kellee Robertson searched the vehicle and found stacks of $20, $50 and $100 bills held together with rubber bands in a hidden compartment.

The driver of the vehicle, Trenton Eric Iverson, 27, of Seattle, was arrested on complaints of possession of drug proceeds and maintaining a vehicle where drugs are used, sold or kept.

Harris said police are still investigating the case.
