14-Year-Old Killed, Two Wounded in Conn. Shooting

Jan. 09--BRIDGEPORT -- A 14-year old is dead and two others were wounded after a shooting early Sunday morning on Seaview Avenue.

Around 12:30 a.m., police responded to Seaview Avenue where they found three people with gunshot wounds, said Elaine Ficarra, city spokeswoman.

Ficarra said 20-year-old Travon Phidd was shot in the hand and 21-year-old Benny Turner was shot in the leg.

All three people were transported to Bridgeport Hospital, where 14-year-old Justin Thompson died of his injuries, Ficarra said.

Bridgeport Police are asking anyone who witness the shooting to call 203-582-5217.
