A 32-year-old man was fatally shot by police Saturday morning in San Bernardino.
Lorenzo Anthony Baca III was walking on the Fifth Street overpass around 8 a.m. when a San Bernardino Police officer attempted to speak with him, according to a San Bernardino County Coroner's news release.
Baca ran away then pulled a handgun and began shooting at the officer who was chasing him, according to the release. The officer shot back, striking Baca.
He was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center Emergency Room where he was pronounced dead at 8:19 a.m..
