CHARLOTTE, N.C.

Someone stole a six-foot tall Grinch decoration from outside of a Charlotte home.

The homemade decoration was made of chicken wire and covered with fur. It had been set up so it looked like the Grinch was climbing a wooden ladder up the side of a house in the Sardis Woods area.

The ladder was also stolen, along with a wooden sign that said "Welcome to Whoville," according to a police report.

The thief took the decorations sometime early Sunday morning.

The homeowner said they had a party with a Whoville theme, and when they woke up the next day, the decorations were gone.
