Police had made no arrests late Thursday in connection with the robbery of First Victoria Bank earlier in the day.
Two black men wearing dark hoodies, masks and blue jeans entered the bank on Southwest Parkway around 10:35 a.m. Thursday.
Officer Rhonda Seaton, spokeswoman for College Station police, said they displayed handguns and demanded money from the tellers.
No one was injured during the robbery, but the men did get away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
It remained unclear late Thursday if the men fled on foot or in a vehicle and in which direction they may have traveled.
Seaton said detectives are investigating the possibility that the robbery is connected to a bank robbery on Dec. 2 on Harvey Road at the FedStar Credit Union.
"To say for sure they are related would be speculation, but we are looking at that possibility," she said.
Before the two robberies this month, no bank had been robbed in College Station since June 2008.
Seaton said the Citibank in the 700 block of Harvey Road was robbed then.
There were a total of three bank robberies in 2008, two in 2007 and one in 2006.
In each of those cases, Seaton said, a suspect was arrested and the case was closed.
The two most recent robberies have not led to any arrests.
