Two people, including a Solano County sheriff's deputy, were injured in an accident Monday afternoon, Vallejo firefighters said.
At about 1:10 p.m., firefighters responded to the two-vehicle accident on Tuolumne Street at Greenfield Avenue.
Upon arrival, they found the deputy suffering from moderate arm injuries, and transported him to a local hospital. The other driver, a middle-aged woman, also suffered minor to moderate injuries but went to a hospital in a private vehicle, firefighters said.
The deputy was treated and released by Monday night.
According to the sheriff's office, the deputy was northbound on Tuolumne Street when the woman, who was traveling southbound, turned in front of him.
Vallejo police are investigating the accident.
