North Carolina Shooting Suspect Turns Himself In

A third suspect1 is still being sought.

The second of three men wanted in connection with a shooting last week turned himself in Sunday evening.

Michael Lee Camp of Statesville turned himself into the magistrate Sunday afternoon and was jailed in lieu of a $350,500 bond, said Statesville Police Department Chief Tom Anderson.

Two men are being sought and a third has been arrested in connection with a shooting last Wednesday morning.

Camp of Statesville and Devin Lamar Grimes, 26, of Statesville are in custody on a charge of attempted murder in the shooting of Thomas Eugene McKoy Jr., 23, of Statesville.

A third suspect, Brandon Jamar Houston, 26, of Statesville is still being sought, Anderson said.

Anyone with information Houston's whereabouts is asked to call the SPD at (704) 878-3406 or Iredell-Statesville Crime Stoppers at (704) 662-1340. Callers do not have to reveal their identity and a cash reward is possible.
