Pennsylvania Police Round Up Trio on Drug Charges
Plymouth police have dismantled a crack-cocaine dealing operation and arrested three people, according to charges filed.
Following a raid at 11 E. Shawnee Ave., police charged Alberto Vasquez, 27, Matthew Klimchok, 28, and Alyssa McAndrew, 19, with various drug crimes.
Investigators said Vasquez was the main player who regularly obtained crack from relatives in Brooklyn, N.Y., and sold to a steady stream of customers who visited the home.
Klimchok worked as the street dealer in exchange for free rent, some food and leftover crack, police said.
McAndrew is Vasquez's live-in girlfriend and assisted in the operation, police said.
Authorities said one of Vasquez's customers was a bartender in the borough, who resold the crack in smaller quantities.
Both Klimchok and McAndrew admitted their roles in the operation, while Vasquez demanded a lawyer, police said.
Members of Plymouth police and the Luzerne County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 11 E. Shawnee Ave. after Vasquez sold drugs to a confidential police informant on Sunday at the home, police said.
Vasquez and Klimchok were jailed in the Luzerne County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bail, while McAndrew's bail was set at $5,000.
