SHELTON, Conn. -- Police made two arrests in a Friday convenience store robbery.
Anthony Parowski, 24, of Marsh Way and George Siler, 21, of Success Avenue, both in Stratford, were arrested on charges that include first-degree robbery, fourth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery plus gun and drug charges.
Siler also was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, police said.
Police said they made the arrests after serving search warrants at Stratford homes Sunday. They found a loaded handgun, ammunition, cash, clothing and more than a pound of marijuana and some cocaine.
Parowski is in custody on $650,000 bail, and Siler is in custody on $350,000 bail. Both are scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Derby Monday.
The robbery happened Friday night at the Buck Stop Sunoco at 429 Shelton Avenue. One of the robbers fired a shot inside the store; the clerk was not injured.
The robbers ran off with the cash register, police said.
