Pennsylvania Man Scammed Out of $3,000

    State police in Chambersburg said someone called the man claiming to be his grandson. The caller said he was arrested in Peru and needed $3,000 to get out of jail.

    GREENE TOWNSHIP, Monday, Dec. 5 - Police said a 91-year-old man was scammed out of $3,000.

    State police in Chambersburg said someone called the man claiming to be his grandson. The caller said he was arrested in Peru and needed $3,000 to get out of jail.

    Police said the man wired the money to Peru.
