N.Y. Sheriff's K-9 Dies Following Roof Fall

    According to a press release from the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Rocky fell from the roof of the building during a search.

    NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. -- A freak accident has taken the life of Niagara County Sheriff's K-9 Rocky.

    Rocky and his handler, Deputy Craig Beiter, were helping Falls police searching for burglary suspects in the former St. Mary's Manor Nursing Home when the accident occurred.

    According to a press release from the Sheriff's Office, Rocky fell from the roof of the building during the search.
