Colo. Police Arrest Suspected Burglars After Search

Colorado Springs Police arrested three suspected burglars Tuesday afternoon after a large search that temporarily put two schools on lockdown.

Colorado Springs Police arrested three suspected burglars Tuesday afternoon after a large search that temporarily put two schools on lockdown.

According to police, the burglary happened about 11:15 a.m. on the 300 block of Wade Drive. Police found one of the suspected burglars immediately and searched the area for the other two.

As a precaution, Grant Elementary, 3215 Westwood Blvd., and Globe Charter School, 3302 Alpine Place, were temporarily locked down.

By 12:45 p.m., police say they had found the other two burglars and the lockdowns were lifted.
