Three men have been charged with kidnapping after a Brampton woman was abducted.
Veerpal Brar, 38, was found early Sunday morning in good health on Ireson Ct., a small cul-de-sac near the Malton GO station in Mississauga, police said in a statement. She was sent to hospital for a checkup before being interviewed by police.
She had been last seen around her residence in the area of Regional Rd. 50 and Cottrelle Blvd. in Brampton on Friday morning.
Three Mississauga men were arrested in connection with the case.
Nicholas Victorvalaratnam, 46, Asogian Gunalingam, 30, and Jaswinder Singh, 27, appeared in Brampton court Sunday afternoon. All three have been charged with kidnapping, forcible confinement, extortion and assault.
Police have not commented on a motive for the incident.
A resident of Ireson Ct. said the house where Brar was found is occupied by a man who does renovation work.
Brar's car, a four-door red 2009 Honda Civic, has not been found, according to Sgt. Scott Murray of Peel regional police.
Police are seeking public help to locate the vehicle, which bears Ontario licence plate BKCW 719.
