Three Arrested on Drug Charges After Mo. Traffic Stop

Three people were arrested on drug charges Tuesday after police stopped their vehicle and found them in possession of drugs and a loaded gun.

Three people were arrested on drug charges Tuesday after police stopped their vehicle and found them in possession of drugs and a loaded gun, according to a report from the Sedalia Police Department.

Detectives from the department's STING Unit were conducting surveillance on a suspected drug distributor Tuesday evening, when they saw the primary suspect leaving in his vehicle, police reported.

When officers stopped the vehicle near West 16th Street and South Osage Avenue for improper registration, they detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, according to the police report.

While searching the vehicle, police found marijuana, methamphetamine, packaging materials, a digital scale and a loaded pistol, the report said.

The three occupants in the vehicle were taken into custody and transported to Pettis County Jail on a series of charges.

Robert P. Bower, 26, of Sedalia, was arrested on a 24-hour hold pending charges of delivery of a controlled substance within 2,000 feet of a school, possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Felicia M. Monteer, 19, of Sedalia, was placed on a 24-hour hold pending a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

Larry E. Washington, 19, was booked and released on a charge of possession of marijuana.
