Texas Traffic Stops Ends With Drug Bust

During the course of the traffic stop the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana in its raw form.

PINEHURST, Texas -- On Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 4:09 p.m. an officer with the Pinehurst Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Strickland Drive.

During the course of the traffic stop the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana in its raw form. Upon conducting a search of the vehicle, a 2001 GMC Yukon, the officer located several bags of a green leafy substance he believed to be Marihuana. The total weight was over 1 pound.

The driver, a 47 year-old black male identified as Mark Traylor was arrested for felony possession of Marihuana.

Traylor, who has a Beaumont, Texas address later posted a $25,000 bond.
