Nov. 05--BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- The pastor of Brooklyn's New Frontier Baptist Church was struck and killed by a police cruiser Saturday while out for a morning walk.
According to investigators, Rev. Theauther Love was walking on Eastern Parkway between Dean and Bergen streets in Brownsville around 7:40 a.m., when the NYPD patrol car struck him.
He died on the way to Brookdale University Hospital And Medical Center.
Rev. Love's son, Andrew, is demanding an investigation into whether the officer behind the wheel was speeding. He says the driver had to be speeding because his father was killed on impact.
But, police say no criminality was involved.
The pastor and his wife, Annie, 83, would have celebrated their 61-st wedding anniversary in December.
