The three San Francisco police officers who were injured early Tuesday when their cruiser crashed into a light pole in the Mission District are now doing well, police said Friday.
The condition of the one officer who remains hospitalized has been upgraded from critical to serious, and the other two officers have been discharged.
The officers, who police are not identifying, crashed into a pole at 19th Street and Portrero Avenue about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. They were responding to reports of a man with a knife at 24th and York streets.
All three were taken to San Francisco General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
