Three People Charged in Chicago Beating Death

A 41-year-old man was killed at a bus stop.

Three male teens have been charged in the beating death of a 41-year-old man at a bus stop earlier this week.

The 41-year-old victim was waiting at the bus stop at 79th Street and Greenwood Avenue early Sunday morning when one of the teens asked another person with him at the bus stop if he could use his phone.

The man refused, and one of the teens took a swing at him, police said. The man then ran to call police and as he did so saw "multiple offenders" start beating the other man.

Donnte Kindle, 17, of the 2800 block of east 78th Street, and Jabril Garner, 18, of the 1300 block of East 73rd Street, were both charged with firs-degree murder.

Antoine Ward, 18, of the 14200 block of South Cottage Grove in Dolton, was charged with first-degree murder, robbery and felony murder.

The three are all being held on $1,000,000 bail, according to Cook County court records.
