WEST ISLIP, N.Y. --

Recent aerial photographs taken by the FBI are prompting investigators to return to a barrier island south of New York's Long Island in their search for more bodies in a possible serial killer case.

State and local police will search an area of the Robert Moses Causeway on Tuesday. The highway is just up the road from Ocean Parkway, where 10 sets of human remains have been discovered since December,

State police are not specifically saying if the photos, taken in April, yielded additional evidence.

Police believe a serial killer may be responsible for the deaths of at least four prostitutes whose bodies were found in the area. Authorities suspect other killers may have also left victims along the remote parkway, going back at least a decade.
