INDIANAPOLIS --
Several department-issued items were stolen from an Indianapolis police officer's cruiser parked outside his Southern Dunes home on the city's southwest side early Monday morning.
According to a police report, the officer discovered that someone had peeled away the lock on the car's door and had stolen a laptop, shotgun and two ammunition magazines that contained 10 rounds of ammunition.
A black canvas bag in which the magazines were stored and several personal items were also taken.
Police said the break-in could have happened between about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday and 4:30 a.m. on Monday.
