MAXIMA ML-3500M

Aug. 20, 2007
The MAXIMA ML-3500M long-wave ultraviolet lamp easily reveals accelerant residues, which have been left by a fire. It also pinpoints the origin of fires by identifying splash and splatter patterns. The MAXIMA ML-3500M, from Spectronics Corp., features Micro-Discharge Light (MDL) technology and can be used in direct sunlight for on-scene inspections. A filter and bulb/reflector assembly enables the lamp to deliver a steady-state UV-A (365 nm) intensity of 50,000 uW/cm2 at 15 inches - 10 times more than ordinary inspection lamps. The MAXIMA ML-3500M also features instant "on" operation, which significantly reduces inspection time by eliminating lengthy warm-up periods.
