Lindsey Wade

Senior Investigator/Analyst, Washington State Attorney General's Office

After retiring from the Tacoma, Washington Police Department in 2018 after 21 years of service, Lindsey joined the Washington State Attorney General’s Office as a Senior Investigator assigned to the Sexual Assault Kit Initiative.  During her 14 years as a detective, Lindsey investigated sex crimes, child abuse, missing persons and homicide and she spent the last three years of her career as the Tacoma Police Department’s cold case detective. Lindsey is a member of the National Institute of Justice Cold Case Working Group and she coordinates the Washington State Cold Case Working Group. Lindsey is a member of the FBI ViCAP National Advisory Board, and an associate instructor for the National Criminal Justice Training Center at Fox Valley Technical College where she teaches cold case investigations and child abduction response team training. Lindsey’s passion for solving sex crimes and homicides with DNA is evident in her upcoming true-crime memoir exploring several unforgettable cases she investigated during her career as a detective.
