It is an unfortunate reality that violence is so commonplace in our society that when the motivation for an attack is domestic – that is to say personal relationship – related, it’s not separated out by the media as different from an active shooter attack, most especially if it occurs on the grounds of an educational institution. That was what happened when Cedric Anderson when to his wife’s place of work – the North Park Elementary School – to kill her.
On the morning of April 10th, 2017, Cedric Anderson armed himself and went to his wife’s school where she taught special education students. Reports and video used during the investigation revealed that he tried to make entrance to the property through a locked door that was designated by the school as exit only. Failing to gain entry at that door, he went in through the main doorway and had to check in with the office personnel as a result.
