    Ind. Probation Officer Offered To Trade Leniency For Sex

    A Jefferson County probation officer is arrested on charges he offered to trade lenient supervision for sexual favors.

    JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ind. --

    A Jefferson County probation officer is accused of offering lenient supervision in exchange for sexual favors.

    Larry B. Grimmet Jr., 29, of Madison, was arrested on Friday on one count of sexual misconduct with a service provider, a felony.

    Police said they began their investigation on Monday after a 26-year-old woman serving in-home detention said Grimmet told her he would be lax in his supervision in exchange for sexual favors.

    Grimmet turned himself in on Friday. He was being held in the Jefferson County Jail on Friday afternoon.
