This is a tribute to fallen officer Jason Gresko. Jason was killed in a car accident responding to assist his brothers in blue. Jason was an excellent father, husband and one of the most genuine officers I have ever met. I am so proud to say that I had the opportunity to serve with Jason for over 5 years. The honor that he brought to the badge everyday will live on in each and every officer he worked with and every person he touched throughout his years. I hope you enjoy.
I am writing to nominate Officer Jason Gresko for the Officer of the Year award. I personally worked with Jason at the Cleveland Clinic Police Department for 5 years. Jason was an all around great person and a first class officer, husband and father. Jason was taken from us in an accident when an impaired driver turned in front of him causing him to strike a tree and ultimately his injuries took his life. Jason was always the first to be there no matter the situation and always the officer you wanted to be there. Jason left behind his wife and daughter Olivia who he loved so dearly. I am hoping that you will accept the nomination and use the award to send his family to Washington next spring to be present during police week for Jason's induction to the memorial. I will be riding in the Police Unity Tour for Jason and two other officers and would love it if this could make their trip a little easie! r! Thanks for your time and as always stay safe!
