Water Rescue Training Programs

Lifesaving Resources develops and conducts a series of water rescue training programs designed specifically for fire, EMS and law enforcement personnel. These fast-paced and comprehensive training programs include a 4-hour classroom session and a 4-hour in-water practical session, which includes practical evolutions in the use of personal flotation devices, cold water rescue and survival, swiftwater rescue and survival, shore-based non-swimming rescues, basic swimming rescues, management of aquatic spinal injuries, and firefighter survival in the water. Lifesaving Resources also offers a Water Rescue Train-the-Trainer Program, which authorizes department representatives as instructors to conduct water rescue awareness, operations and technician level courses.
