    Directing traffic can be a dangerous duty for law enforcement officers, especially at night. IST International offers battery-operated, portable traffic signals with a variety of options. These signals are ideal for use in hurricane-prone areas when the power goes out, and can be funded through FEMA reimbursements. The systems can be deployed from a vehicle or in a charging trailer. The traffic signals will operate for two days with a 1-2 12-volt DC battery, or indefinitely with the solar power model. Utilizing these traffic lights allows officers to be deployed to other, more pressing duty.
