New School Safety and Security System Demonstrated

Decision makers from 15 Colorado law enforcement agencies and school districts attend demonstration to see how new system can help first responders during a crisis situation

WESMINSTER, COLO., -- May 29, 2007-- Security With Advanced Technology announced today that it demonstrated its new AgileMesh products, a line of wireless, mesh network video surveillance systems, for over 15 Colorado law enforcement agencies and school districts at Castle View High School in Castle Rock, Colo.

The products are rapidly deployable video surveillance systems that are strategically designed for first responders including local police departments, fire departments and emergency response units, to immediately gain video footage from inside of a school during a crisis situation. This one-of-a-kind product allows first responders to view video images from fixed cameras already installed in schools and from mobile cameras that can be quickly deployed around the school. The images are transmitted wirelessly, securely and in real time to a patrol car and/or mobile command center.

"What I'm looking at this system to do is to help us to leverage our existing technology and get better use of the technology we have," said Larry Borland, Chief of Security for Douglas County School District, who attended the event to see the product in action. "We've been interested for some time in a way that we can get the multiple law enforcement agencies that serve our county to have access to the cameras we have in all of our buildings. In the event of an emergency or even something like an alarm activation after hours this kind of technology and this kind of ability is huge."
