SpireLine Systems Inc.™, a provider of mobile process management solutions for the public safety industry, today announced its launch as a new corporation. SpireLine develops application software and services that improve data availability and data sharing through mobile business process management and mobile interoperability.
SpireLine Systems also announced the completion of its acquisition of FormStream™ Mobile Field Reporting (MFR) software assets, staff, and all related contracts and agreements from Patron Systems, Inc. FormStream is currently utilized by the law enforcement industry to automate the report writing processes through the use of secure electronic forms, mobile processing and advanced interface components.
"FormStream MFR software enjoys strong customer endorsements from public safety agencies that include among others: Onondaga County/Syracuse, NY; Rochester, NY; Minneapolis, MN; El Paso County, CO," remarked Mark Gergen, CEO of SpireLine. "FormStream is a proven technology that helps police departments and public safety users do their jobs better with greater efficiency and at a lower cost. In this day and age where cost-effective productivity is the watchword for municipal governments, SpireLine offers a compelling value proposition for its clients."
SpireLine Systems was capitalized by Laidlaw and Company (UK) Ltd. in New York ("Laidlaw") and Apex Venture Partners. Substantial new capital has been invested to further the development, support and marketing of FormStream under SpireLine Systems. "We are pleased to officially present SpireLine to the industry," remarked George Middlemas from Apex Venture Partners. "It is vital to continually bring to market solutions that enhance public safety. SpireLine's vision, market knowledge and strong technical capabilities will produce solutions that enhance data sharing and improve safety and performance for officers in the field."
SpireLine will continue to service all FormStream clients and execute current FormStream contracts in cities such as Nashville, Yonkers and Cleveland. In addition, throughout 2008, SpireLine will roll-out market-forward, customer-driven FormStream functionality and broaden FormStream's efficiencies to service the smaller public safety agencies. As a result, FormStream will continue to lead the market in innovation and ease-of-use by officers and IT managers. "Laidlaw has been involved with FormStream for more than two years and we recognize the important role that mobile form technology plays in public safety," said Ted Fowler of Laidlaw. "We are happy to be able to say that FormStream from SpireLine is in a positive position in terms of opportunity and stability. SpireLine will take FormStream to the next level while continuing to roll-out new advancements."
"As a team, we are excited about the future of SpireLine and the technologies we will bring to the market. SpireLine is committed to continue the growth and expansion of FormStream in addition to bringing new innovative mobile process management solutions to market," commented Mark Gergen, CEO of SpireLine Systems. "SpireLine remains steadfast to FormStream commitments, customers and partners and looks forward to the opportunity to strengthen relationships, expand our industry participation and most importantly, make a difference through our technologies."
