An 'idea-fest'
Every item in 5.11's lineup is the result of end-user ideas. Most concepts come from 5.11's routine Product Development Meetings with tactical professionals worldwide. However, for the first time ever, 5.11 Tactical is inviting people from all backgrounds and professions to join the company for an exciting weekend of product brainstorming and fun! All you need to do is come up with a new idea that piques the company's interest.

Fill out the online form between 8 a.m. (PT) February 15 and 5 p.m. (PT) April 15, 2008. You'll be asked to submit some personal information, product concepts and supporting materials. Please note that all entries, ideas, etc. become the sole property of 5.11 Tactical.
Boost your chances of winning
A 5.11 team will review all submissions and select up to 10 winning entries. The company is looking for creative minds with good ideas - and wants to bring those people together for a meeting. You don't have to be an artist, engineer or designer to submit a concept. A clear description, drawing and any other details you can provide are all that’s needed. The most innovative presentations have the highest chances of winning, so be creative!
Trip of a lifetime
Up to 10 winners will receive round trip air and ground travel to Montana, where they’ll enjoy VIP treatment, gourmet meals and luxurious accommodations at 5.11's five-star lodge, located near the historic Bighorn Battlefield and the scenic Bighorn Mountains. The event takes place June 5-8, 2008.
In Montana, contestants will become members of the 5.11 Tactical Product Development Team for a day - participating in an exclusive Product Development Meeting (PDM) where great ideas come to life! The next day, winners will enjoy a relaxing, day-long guided fishing expedition on the famous Bighorn River, North America's premier trout-fishing destination.
More amazing prizes
Viable product concepts from the 2008 PDM Contest will have prototypes developed and tested. The meeting participant(s) who generated the selected idea(s) will receive $511 cash for every product concept that appears in 5.11's product catalog. All meeting participants will also receive an assortment of current 5.11 Tactical Series® gear.
