A San Diego Sheriff's deputy was stabbed in the leg at a gas station in La Mesa Tuesday morning.
Two deputies responded to the Chevron at the corner of Center and Jackson drives around 9:14 a.m. to investigate a suspicious person when the attacked occurred, according to U-T San Diego.
A second deputy shot the man who stabbed his colleague.
Both the wounded deputy and the suspect were transported to local hospitals. The deputy is expected to recover. The condition of the suspect is unknown.
An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
