The trial of a man accused in leading Prince George's County, Md. police on a pursuit that resulted in the death of an officer in 2012 abruptly ended Thursday.
A mistrial was declared just three days after it began for Kevon Neal, who was charged with vehicular manslaughter in the death of Officer Adrian Morris, according to WJLA-TV.
The State's Attorney's office told the news station that the actions of a juror in the case led to the mistrial.
The case went to the jury Wednesday afternoon, but the judge received an email from a juror that night who claimed she could not judge another person because of their religious beliefs.
Prince George's County State's Attorney Angela Alsobrooks called the juror's actions a "complete disgrace" in a statement.
Officials said that a new trial is expected to take place in either May or June.
