Fla. Deputy Sheriff Sent to Hospital After T-Bone Collision

Dec. 01--A St. Johns County Sheriff's deputy has been sent to a hospital after a collision Wednesday night, according to Times-Union news partner First Coast News.

A St. Augustine police spokesman told First Coast News a woman was making a left turn onto San Carlos Avenue from Ponce De Leon Boulevard and into the path of the deputy. The deputy tried to avoid the collision but T-boned her car.

Both were sent to Flagler Hospital for injuries that were described as moderate, according to First Coast News.

Neither driver was identified in the First Coast News report.
