A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and vandalism on Saturday after police say he broke into a Mission Valley car dealership and damaged 14 cars.

San Diego police said Edward Roth used a large object to break the window of the collision center at John Hine Mazda on Camino Del Rio South.

Roth then used chairs to damage the windshields and bodies of 14 cars, according to San Diego police Sgt. Ray Battrick.

Police said Roth also ransacked an office area and threw telephones and computers on the ground.

When officers arrived on the scene, Roth resisted arrest while holding a rock in his hand. Police eventually subdued Roth with a stun gun and took him into custody at about 3:30 a.m.

Damage at the dealership is estimated at $50,000.
