Nov. 14--After allegedly stealing more than $300 from a flight attendant while on his way back to the U.S. from Iceland, a Gloucester man found himself facing larceny charges today in East Boston.
According to the office of Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley, Massachusetts State Police arrested Torry Johnson of Gloucester Sunday evening after his flight landed at Logan International Airport.
Officers charged Johnson with taking $300 and an undisclosed amount of foreign currency from an attendant's purse. He was scheduled for an arraignment East Boston District Court this afternoon.
State Police referred all comment today to Conley's office. Authorities did not provide an age or address for Johnson, beyond indicating that he is from Gloucester.
Johnson was on board Iceland Air Flight 631, which arrived in Boston Sunday at 5 p.m.
