Nov. 12--A Milwaukee man was arrested on accusations of drunken driving and fleeing police after twice backing into a Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputy's squad.

According to a release from the sheriff's office:

The incident started Thursday night when Randy G. Simpson, 43, of Milwaukee, was observed speeding on westbound I-94. A deputy followed him and turned on his emergency lights and siren, but the vehicle did not stop.

Simpson led the deputy on a nearly 4-mile pursuit that reached speeds of up to 66 miles per hour on city streets. Simpson eventually drove to the alley behind his home, with the squad behind him, and twice backed up into the squad in an attempt to park in his parking spot.

When he failed to get into his spot, he drove away from the squad to go around the block and try again. He parked the car, but refused to get out of the car, and officers responding from West Milwaukee broke the window to gain entry.

There were no injuries as a result of the pursuit or arrest.

A breath test conducted showed Simpson's blood alcohol concentration of 0.15, the release said -- almost twice the legal limit. He has a prior OWI conviction from 2003.

Simpson faces a felony charge for fleeing and eluding, misdemeanor charges for OWI-2nd, and multiple traffic citations, according to the sheriff's release.
