Man in KKK Costume Makes Racial Slurs to N.H. Trick-or-Treaters

Police are investigating a report that a man dressed in a Ku Klux Klan costume made racial slurs to a woman taking part in trick-or-treating Monday night in Keene.

KEENE -- Police are investigating a report that a man dressed in a Ku Klux Klan costume made racial slurs to a woman taking part in trick-or-treating Monday night in Keene.

Police responded to Sparrow Street about 7:30 p.m. to the report that the man had approached a black woman who was among a group of trick-or-treaters out on the streets in the Tanglewood development, said Keene police Sgt. Christopher L. Simonds.

Police have a suspect and an investigation is ongoing, but no one has been charged in the incident, Simonds said.
